Please take a look at this magnificent 13-year old German Shepherd in her annual “photo op” as the Christmas Moose. She has willing posed for this kind of photo every year for 12 years. This year, we weren’t sure we’d have her. Her age was really showing and she was unable to move her back legs independently of one another. She literally was forced to ”bunny hop” because of the pain she was in.

This dog was crippled from the pain of hip dysplasia a common, very painful ailment plaguing American bred dogs and often mandating their being put down.
