WHIMSA

A Celebration of Life!

By Karl Hosch

WHIMSA which stands for WORLD HAPPINESS IS MAKING SOULS ALIVE!!! is the name chosen for a very important new holiday. It is celebrated on the first weekend of every August, in order to grant a reprieve form the lack of holidays between Memorial Day and July 4th, and the end of Summer bash, commonly referred to as Labor Day.

Read the declaration entitled "THE CELEBRATION OF WHIMSA." The declaration is the basis of the theme of WHIMSA and gives everyone the impetus to take note and realize that the holiday represents some very sound and desirable wishes for the world-wide community!

However, as profound as some of the thoughts are, the fun side of WHIMSA is also just as important. In fact, with clever marketing, the two areas can be intermingled and used to bring the serious side of the message of the holiday home, while still bringing the equally important joyous and fun aspects home also. Parties, a special greeting, related products such as cards, plaques, mugs, T-shirts, restaurant and bar promotions, etc. would be the means of spreading the good will and intentions, to help foster a world that is much more "user friendly!"

WHIMSA is meant to entertain, inform and unite the people of this world in a formal celebration that is loaded with fun, insight, and the feeling that just with the embracing of the simple precepts of the declaration, we can have a better world!

The Celebration Of WHIMSA

The celebration of WHIMSA deals with the celebration of Life... And the ability to live it to its fullest, in an unending number of years. The hallmarks of this life are happiness, joy, fun, humor, perfect health, peace, prosperity and perhaps most importantly, love.

Understanding and helpfulness are its supports. All races, colors and creeds will join hands in a peaceful world that will know no strife, oppression, hunger or want. No one shall be of need in any way and all will share their blessings with the next being.

All that happens will be for good and for the enjoyment of life and the wonderful state of unlimited happiness. All energy and awareness will be of a healing nature, in a world where disease and sickness has disappeared and everything that exists will be for fun, enjoyment, and the ever so cherished "pursuit of happiness."

WHIMSA is world peace, harmony, and unending joy and the celebration of WHIMSA is the celebration of all life that is good and all that is good in life. The roots of WHIMSA can be traced back to ancient times of approximately 2000 B. C., to a Greek comedian named Comicus. The record of his early attempts to establish what we now know as WHIMSA are somewhat sketchy, but the essence of what was intended is brought to humanity in this newly proclaimed celebration.

The celebration of WHIMSA is meant for every day of the year, yet culminates on the first weekend of August. During this period, this sharing only increases in magnitude, to heights only imaginable by the partakers in such a wonderful and rewarding celebration. This is a time when everyone shares in the fun and festivities and acknowledges their important role in making the world a better place in which to live.

Karl Hosch enjoys his ability to bring to the public an array of entertaining and uplifting subjects.  His talents include screenwriting, book authoring, music composing and recording, photography, and various forms of art, including sculpture, acrylics, and oils.  He writes mainly romantic comedies, romantic comedy/dramas, and uplifting relationship films, in addition to philosophy, articles, and short stories.  His creation of the wonderful WHIMSA celebration is an important outreach to help de-stress the world from the negativity in everyday lives.  His goal is to bring happiness, joy, and fun to the world, in addition to the fact that his work is usually very inspirational and makes you want to run outside and shout, "Oh, what a wonderful world!!!"
